After The Glow
03:55
|
|||
Well morning bird well I like you
But I wish I thought things out all the way through
And after the scene
A statue in a maternity dress
And sitting beside you I thought I'd never forget
All my regrets
And time spent admiring you
And after the glow
Through heavy chords
Well I found my fingers in the sounds
And I found my fingers in you
And after the fuzz
I couldn't find my feet
Still reeling from the buzz
Through heavy crowds and codeine fucked dreams
I hang them
Hold on the walls and feel the sound, the blowback
Feel the world and self slip, slip through the cracks
Crawl in the corner and feel your guts sink on back
Build it all up and then crush it into the black
You cockroaches

I'm Here
03:10
|
|||
Well so baked in the winter sun
And you're the kind I like
Sorry I wasn't good enough
I even tuned my guitar up
But I'm a mess and I think I'm lost
Yeah, yeah I think I'm lost
And these paths they never seem to meet
And they never ever seem to cross
I'm here and I'm here
And I'm okay and I'm okay
Don't you worry about me yeah yeah
Yeah, yeah
So they showed me,
So they showed me the edge
And they proposed to me
Just one jump and you'll be free
So I said yes like I know that cliff
One faint miss, a sixteenth step
I'm here
I'm okay

The Starfucker
04:22
|
|||
These starving hysterical streets where everyone panics
Well in goes the Starfucker, a disgrace
And he opens his abyssal maw and generates a sing-along
Making the world golden and so so yellow
And he sings raw madness too a million girls in an ear splitting sigh
The very sound of suicidal machinery on turpentine
The very sound of this nuclear age throwing the first stone
And his angel-headed disciples follow him through neon-lit streets
And through to the chaos that is lit below
And the night is lost too a drug addled dawn
Which is filled with hundreds of staggering angels
Who follow the Starfucker maddened through subways
As he continues to sing, freeing that voice that lays dormant within
And the eyes of his followers light up in a heavenly beauty
As they are dragged along
And his song grows and grows
Until he's just wailing and screaming in a desperate panic
As he chokes on the truth
As he chokes on the lies
And everyone reaches out screaming in desperation
Just too make the Starfucker stop
As he spits out prophecies of their demise
Millions of people screaming and hollering
Suddenly unable to stand the Starfucker's song
And they shove and they push trying to reach him
To stop this sing-along of a pre-destined future
A nightmarish envisagment of reality
And buried under limbs the Starfucker closes his mouth
And the world chokes on pieces of him
Like rats on a sinking ship
Only the captain goes down
Down, down, down
Like rats
And the world awoke, hungover drunk
Headache creeping from their ears
And the Starfucker laid scattered
Like a fallen prophet
And all the kings horses and all the kings men
They just couldn't put the Starfucker back again

Suburban Sidewinder
04:33
|
|||
Well down black streets
Just trying to find my way back home
Yeah never headed on back
Cause you know I'm on my own
Well false prophet prophecies
Covered in their own feces
And hold it up to the light
And hold it down to their biblical disease
And I can see the sun
It makes me anxious, it makes me numb
Well these twisted streets, they repeat and repeat

Sun Shine On
03:56
|
|||
There's sunshine on my rainy parade
There's sunshine on my rainy parade
And I push my fingers into, into the sun
So just for one second man, well they can feel numb
And the feeling, feeling it burns
And the sun shines on
And I feel, feel warm
And there's sunshine on my rainy parade
And I've lost myself to all the, the yesterdays
So get off my chest man and cut me some slack
I don't even wanna just look on back
And a box of memories labelled amongst the shit
And I'm gone
Sun shine on
Can you feel it man?

Rockets
03:13
|
|||
In my rocket ship we'll fly away
And out of the storm/dawn we'll break the grey
And all the tortured faces below will wave
But don't look down, they're yesterday
Dont look down
